Where copper leans orange, this leans to the pink end of warm, so it looks like a blonde tinted rose rather than a red diluted down. It moves noticeably with the light: almost peach in sun, close to an ordinary warm blonde under a lamp. The rose pigment is the fragile one and rinses out first, which is why it is usually maintained as a gloss over a lifted blonde base instead of a permanent color.
- Undertonewarm, neutral. It sits naturally against fair skin with pink or peach undertones because hair and skin share the same rosiness, and it can look chalky against deep olive.
- Starting pointThe base needs taking up to a light blonde first, since the rose tone is translucent and will not show over gold or orange left behind from a darker level.
- UpkeepA toner or gloss every four to five weeks, because the pink drops out well before the blonde does, and cool water plus a color-safe wash slows the loss.
