Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.
This is the quietest version of the shadow root: perhaps a level and a half separates root from lengths, so what registers is dimension at the scalp rather than a change of shade. The chocolate holds a neutral to slightly warm brown through the mid lengths, which stops it going flat the way a single-process brown can under indoor light. Growing out leaves essentially nothing to see.
- Undertoneneutral, warm. The brown sits close to neutral with a small amount of warmth, so it works across a wide range of skin depths without pushing red or ash.
- Starting pointBoth shades are darker than most natural hair, so this is deposit only and needs no lifting, unless you are coming from blonde and need a filler first.
- UpkeepA demi gloss twice a season keeps the chocolate from fading dull, and since regrowth is effectively invisible, retouches are driven by shine rather than by a line.
