Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

Yellow and purple sit directly across from each other, which is why this reads as loud rather than harmonious, and also why any bleed at the parting turns muddy brown instead of blending. The yellow side glows in sunlight and dulls indoors; the purple looks almost black in shadow and only shows its violet where light hits it. Keep the divide clean and rinse each side away from the other.

  • Undertonewarm, cool. The yellow is firmly warm and the purple firmly cool, so it works best with the warmer half on whichever side of the face you want brightened.
  • Starting pointBoth halves need a pale level ten base, since yellow pigment has almost no covering power and purple over a dark base collapses into near-black.
  • UpkeepThe purple fades toward a dusty blue-gray in about five weeks and the yellow toward cream sooner, so both sides land on roughly a monthly top-up cycle.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Cosmic Sunshine Split Dye against your own skin tone first.
