Neither side is dark, so this split has no anchor and reads as pure color, which is why it photographs so loudly. The two shades are close enough on the wheel that bleed at the parting turns coral rather than muddy, so it forgives a slightly imperfect line. The pink migrates into the yellow first and fastest, tinting the yellow side peach around the part after a few washes.
