The green is a deep emerald rather than a lime, which stops it looking neon, and the purple beside it sits at roughly the same depth so neither half swallows the other. Green is one of the longest-lasting direct dyes and tends to outlive the purple by weeks, which eventually leaves the head unbalanced. Under dim light both sides darken enough that the split reads as texture more than color.
