Honey Brown

The lightest of these browns, a golden medium brown that carries amber warmth without crossing into dark blonde.

Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

Golden rather than red, it holds a soft amber warmth that catches light across the whole surface, so it looks brighter in motion than a flat brown of the same level. The lightness shows dimension easily: ends read a shade lighter than roots even when it goes on as a single process. As it fades it turns pale and slightly yellow instead of orange, which is easier to live with than a chestnut fade but still needs a gloss to stay clean.

  • Undertonewarm. Golden and warm-neutral skin picks it up naturally, while on very cool complexions the amber tends to sit forward of the face rather than with it.
  • Starting pointThis sits around level five, so only hair darker than a medium brown needs lifting, and black or box-dyed hair takes bleach to clear the red underneath evenly.
  • UpkeepRefresh with a golden gloss around week six, and because the shade sits only a level or two above most natural brown, regrowth reads as a shadow rather than a line.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Honey Brown against your own skin tone first.
