Plum
A deep purple-brown with a wine edge, dark enough to read as a natural level until light catches the violet.

Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.
Plum lives on the boundary between a fashion shade and a brunette, which is why it survives on people whose work will not tolerate bright hair. The violet is muted with brown, so rather than a flat purple you get depth that follows the shape of the cut. It fades warm, dropping the cool violet first and settling into a reddish brown that still looks deliberate.
- Undertonecool, neutral. Cool and neutral skin at medium to deep levels suits it, because the brown keeps the violet from reading as costume against the face.
- Starting pointDark brown hair takes plum on a single-process tint with nothing lifted; only black hair needs help, and then just a level or two.
- UpkeepA gloss every six weeks holds the violet, regrowth is subtle because the depth matches most natural brunettes, and the condition cost stays low.
