Emerald Green

A deep jewel green with a blue lean, saturated rather than neon, dark enough to look like bottle glass in light.

Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

This is not a lime or a grass green: the blue in it keeps the shade cold and gives it depth on dark hair. Green pigment grips the cortex harder than almost anything else, so it is a difficult color to remove later. Fading moves sideways rather than lighter, drifting toward a sea green and then a dull teal as the yellow underneath starts to show through.

  • Undertonecool, neutral. Cool and neutral skin, deeper tones included, sit well beside it because the green borrows no warmth from the face.
  • Starting pointLevel eight is workable given how dark emerald is, though a warm base tips the green toward olive, so knock the yellow back with a toner first.
  • UpkeepIt holds longer than most vivids, often eight weeks or more, though green stains whatever it fades onto and makes a return to blonde a project.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Emerald Green against your own skin tone first.
