Black Peekaboo
A near-black panel hidden under a mid-brown base, so the underside of the hair reads as deep shadow.

Black Peekaboo

Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.
This is the one peekaboo that runs darker than the hair above it, which changes everything about how it behaves. Sectioned in below the crown, it shows with the hair down only as contrast at the ends and along the part line, where soft brown meets soft black. Movement opens the panel and the whole underside drops into shade. It takes with no lifting at all, since black is pure deposit, but it does not come back out cleanly later.
- Undertoneneutral, cool. Soft black rather than blue-black, so it sits against warm and olive skin without the hard edge a true blue-black casts.
- Starting pointOnly the panel is colored and black needs no lift at any depth, though a previously bleached underlayer wants a warm filler or the color turns green.
- UpkeepColor-safe washing keeps it going for months and regrowth reads as a soft line rather than a band, but stripping black out later costs real condition.
