Ginger
A bright natural ginger, orange-forward and light enough to look like hair somebody was born with.

Ginger is the lightest and most orange of the three coppers, and the one that passes as a natural redhead rather than a colored one. Gold in the base makes it lift and glow in sunlight and look softer indoors than copper red ever does. On brown hair it needs real lift before it will show, because orange over a dark base just reads as warmth. It fades to strawberry and then to a warm blonde.
- Undertonewarm. The gold-orange direction sits naturally against fair warm and peachy skin, echoing the warmth already in the face rather than adding contrast to it.
- Starting pointNeeds the hair at a level seven orange-blonde to look bright, so dark hair has to be lifted first while light brown and blonde take it straight.
- UpkeepRefresh every five to six weeks; the gold goes before the orange does, so the shade drifts brassier rather than duller as it wears out.

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Ginger against your own skin tone first.
