Marley hair is made to mimic blown-out afro texture, so each twist has a dry, matte surface and an irregular thickness along its length. The twists are wide and there are far fewer of them than in a mini set, which shortens installation but puts more weight on each root. Ends are usually left loose and fluffed rather than sealed to a point. The set looks fullest in week one and softer by week three.
- Suitsoval, heart, oblong face shapes. The added bulk fills space either side of a long face, and the soft matte texture keeps a narrow chin from looking sharper than it is.
- Hair typecoily, curly, medium density, thick. Natural texture underneath grips the added hair so the twist does not slide, and the scalp has to be strong enough to carry the extra weight.
- UpkeepSix to ten weeks, taken down before the roots start to mat, with regular scalp oiling because the extension hair wicks moisture away.
