Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

The dip line sits higher than most, around the middle of the length rather than the last few inches, so the black reads as a block of weight instead of a tipped edge. Against the mid-brown base it is obvious in daylight and nearly invisible under low indoor light, where the two halves merge into one dark mass. Black is also the most stable dip you can choose: it does not fade into a different color, it only loses gloss.

  • Undertonecool, neutral. Solid black carries no color cast, so there is nothing in it to clash with the skin, though the depth pushes contrast up hardest on very fair complexions.
  • Starting pointNo lifting is involved at all, since black deposits over any starting depth, and the darker your natural base the shorter the visible transition looks.
  • UpkeepThere is no toner to keep up and no regrowth line at the scalp because the roots are untouched, but the black band travels further down the length as hair grows and the dyed section dulls after a couple of months.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Black Dip Dye against your own skin tone first.
