Icy Blue

A pale washed blue with almost no depth to it, nearer a silver wearing a cold tint than an actual blue.

Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

As the pastel end of the blue family, this depends entirely on a near-white base to show at all. In flat indoor light it can read as cool silver, and only daylight makes the blue obvious. The low pigment load means it dilutes quickly, yet blue is tenacious enough that the last of it lingers as a gray cast long after the shade itself has gone, which can complicate whatever you do next.

  • Undertonecool. Cool, fair complexions suit it most, since the shade is pale enough that warm skin tends to overwhelm it rather than sit against it.
  • Starting pointLevel ten and properly toned, no exceptions: on a yellow base an icy blue turns mint within minutes of processing.
  • UpkeepDiluted blue conditioner at most washes to keep the tint alive, plus root lift every four to six weeks, and that lift is the real cost to the hair.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Icy Blue against your own skin tone first.
