Silver Purple

A metallic lilac: a gray-silver base with a small amount of violet pushed through it, cold and low in saturation.

Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

This behaves more like an ashy gloss with a purple tilt than a true vivid. The metallic quality comes from the contrast between the silver and that thin violet load, which is exactly why any yellow left in the hair kills it and turns the whole thing beige. Under warm bulbs it reads nearly gray; in daylight the lilac becomes obvious. Fading strips the silver first and lets warmth creep back.

  • Undertonecool. It needs cool skin to hold its own, because against warm golden complexions the silver goes dull with no warmth in the shade to answer back.
  • Starting pointLevel ten with every trace of yellow removed, so realistically bleach, then a purple or blue toner, then the lilac laid on top.
  • UpkeepA toning wash every second or third shampoo to hold the silver, plus root lift roughly every four weeks, which is where the condition cost lands.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Silver Purple against your own skin tone first.
