Where violet is fully saturated, this is purple pulled most of the way to gray, and that changes how it behaves in the hair. On a lifted panel it reads silver in flat light and lilac wherever light lands directly. Worn down, only the very ends tend to give it away. This is toner-strength color rather than dye, so it needs a genuinely clean base or it turns to dirty mauve within days.

  • Undertonecool. Gray mutes the purple here, so it stays quiet against fair cool skin where a bright lilac would look loud and obvious.
  • Starting pointRequires the same level ten lift a true silver does, since any yellow left behind in the panel turns the lilac muddy on application.
  • UpkeepRe-tone roughly every three weeks; with so little pigment to hide behind, this shade shows regrowth and returning brass sooner than the deeper purples.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Silver Purple Peekaboo against your own skin tone first.
