The framing layers are cut round rather than choppy and curled away from the face, so they lift off the cheek and fall back with a soft bend. Underneath, the base stays close to one length, which gives the top layers something to bounce against. A large barrel iron or a round brush on the front sections is the whole styling routine. Left alone, the two lengths blur into a single soft shape.
- Suitsheart, oval, diamond face shapes. Layers curling away from the cheek open the middle third of the face and put softness under the chin, balancing a wide forehead or a broad cheekbone.
- Hair typefine, medium density, straight, wavy. Fine hair suits it because the two-length trick builds fullness without needing density, while heavy hair can flatten the bounce out of the front pieces.
- UpkeepRefresh the framing every eight weeks, and budget five minutes with a brush or iron to bend the front sections away from the face.
