The shortest pieces sit high on the crown and get point cut so nothing lies flat, then the layers step down toward a wispy perimeter that finishes near the earlobe. Nothing is left blunt, so the outline stays broken instead of solid. A pinch of texture paste worked through dry mid lengths keeps the separation visible. It grows out into a soft crop rather than losing its shape entirely.
- Suitsround, square, oval face shapes. Crown lift adds vertical height that counters a round width, and the ragged ends at jaw level break up a square corner instead of tracing it.
- Hair typefine, medium density, straight, wavy. Fine hair gains apparent thickness because the layers stand rather than stack, while very thick hair has to lose weight from inside or the crown mushrooms.
- UpkeepTrim every six to eight weeks to stop the crown flattening, and expect to work paste through dry ends most mornings.
