The signature is the gap between the shortest front layer and the longest length: the front sits at chin or collarbone while the back keeps its full run, so the hair looks layered from the front and long from behind. Curling the framing outward and the lengths under is what creates the wing shape. It needs heat protectant and a round brush finish. Grow-out is gentle because nothing was cut blunt.
- Suitsround, oval, square face shapes. Vertical layers running past the cheek draw a long line down the sides of the face, which takes width off a round outline and softens a square jaw.
- Hair typemedium density, thick, straight, wavy. Body matters more than length here, so the wing shape holds on medium to thick hair, while fine hair needs mousse at the root to keep it up.
- UpkeepTrim the layers every ten weeks and expect a proper blow-dry or iron session whenever you want the full volume, not a wash and go.
