A straight center part splits the locs into even halves, and each half is gathered high on the side and wound into its own ball. The parting is the fiddly part, since locs do not fall obediently to one side or the other and strays have to be assigned by hand. Smaller gathers mean less weight per anchor point than a single high bun, which is easier on the roots, though the two sides do have to match in size.

  • Suitsoval, diamond, oblong face shapes. Two raised points sit above the temples and add width exactly there, filling out a narrow-templed diamond face and interrupting the length of an oblong one.
  • Hair typemedium density, thick, curly, coily. Only locked hair builds this shape, and each half needs enough locs to make a ball that is dense rather than see-through.
  • UpkeepStay on the usual four to six week retwist, and check the part line for stray locs before securing so the two halves finish the same size.
  • Ask forAsk for a clean center part taken from the front hairline to the nape, with each side gathered at temple height rather than up at the crown.

Does it suit your face?

A photo of Loc Space Buns on someone else cannot answer that. Render it on your own face and you will know in a few seconds.
