Royal Blue Dip Dye

Dense saturated royal blue on the ends, deep enough to read as real blue rather than a pastel tint.

Blue at this concentration is one of the easier vivids to place, because it covers what is underneath instead of exposing it, so a slightly imperfect bleach still works. It looks close to navy indoors and shows its true cobalt in daylight. As it washes out it passes through a teal stage, because the thinning blue starts letting the yellow of the bleach show through, and that teal phase can hang around for several weeks.

  • Undertonecool. A cool primary blue that holds its own against deeper skin tones and creates sharp separation from fair, pink toned complexions.
  • Starting pointA level seven to eight lift on the ends is enough, since royal blue does not need the near white canvas a pastel demands.
  • UpkeepIt fades slowly at first and then quickly through teal, so a top-up every five to six weeks, no regrowth line to chase, and moderate dryness from the lift.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Royal Blue Dip Dye against your own skin tone first.
