Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

Aqua is blue and green pigment mixed together, and the two do not fade at the same rate. Blue leaves first, which is why an aqua panel drifts steadily toward mint over its life. On a clean base the color glows against the black above it and looks lit from inside when the hair is tied back or flipped over a shoulder. Below level nine the yellow in the hair pulls it green from day one.

  • Undertonecool. There is no warmth anywhere in aqua, so it lands cleanest on cool or neutral skin, and on deep complexions it glows instead of blending.
  • Starting pointNeeds the panel bleached to pale yellow at level nine; anything darker turns the aqua into a murky teal the moment it is applied.
  • UpkeepRe-dye on a three or four week rhythm and treat the mint stage as part of owning it, since the blue half of the mix always goes first.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Electric Aqua Peekaboo against your own skin tone first.
