This is the loud member of the red family, several shades brighter than burgundy and pitched cool rather than orange. With the underneath section colored from temple to nape, movement makes it flash the way a bright lining shows inside a coat. It needs genuine lift to look this vivid, since any darkness left in the hair drags the red toward maroon. Cherry bleeds heavily for the first few washes, then settles into a softer raspberry.
