Both renders are HairGlam output. In the app the shade lands on your photo instead.

Silver is a toner result rather than a dye color: the hair is lifted almost to white and a gray pigment is laid over it, so the finish depends entirely on how clean that lift was. Against a dark base the ends look like polished metal in direct light and considerably duller in shade. Any yellow that returns is immediately obvious, which makes this the least forgiving shade in the whole dip family.

  • Undertonecool. Pure gray carries no warmth at all, which suits cool and neutral skin and can drain color from very warm or sallow complexions worn close to the face.
  • Starting pointThere is no shortcut here: the ends must be bleached to a near white level ten, and on dark hair that means several sessions with recovery time between them.
  • UpkeepSilver needs retoning every two to four weeks, more often than anything else in this family, with no root work at all and bond building products keeping the lifted ends intact.

Try it before the bleach

Color is the expensive mistake to get wrong. Put Silver Dip Dye against your own skin tone first.
